The premier gathering for space engineering and technology two weeks ago in Bremen, Germany was bigger and better than ever. At stand #P36, we had the chance to dive deep into conversations about the technologies shaping tomorrow’s space systems — from microwave instruments and ferrite components to RF signal monitoring, geolocation, and classification.

Harp Technologies at ARSI’24

We’re proud to share that Dr. Janne Lahtinen represented Harp Technologies at the 8^th edition of the ARSI (Advanced RF Sensors and Remote Sensing Instruments) workshop on the 4^th-6^th November at ESTEC, The Netherlands! Dr. Lahtinen presented on two key topics: “Feasibility Study and Breadboarding of an RFI Monitoring Mission to Support Earth Observation” (by J. Kainulainen et al.) and “Waveguide Ferrite Switches and Circulators for Earth Observation Instruments” (by S. Salo et al.)., showcasing the cutting-edge work we’re doing in RF sensors and their components.

The presentations were an exciting opportunity to engage with peers and experts, share insights, and explore the latest trends and developments in the field.

A big thank you to all the organizers, speakers, and attendees for an inspiring event. We look forward to continuing the conversations and collaborations that will shape the future of microwave remote sensing instruments!

Harp Technologies develops SIGINT technologies with Lockheed Martin and leading Finnish players

Lockheed Martin and VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, as the leader of the Finnish research consortium, have signed a frame agreement on November 21, 2023 for indirect industrial cooperation connected to Finland’s procurement of the F-35 fighter jets. The aim of the cooperation project is to develop methods and technologies for radar and communication signal detection and classification on a modern battlefield, filled with emitters with low-probability of interception and detection signals. Members of the Finnish research consortium are: VTT, defence and technology company Patria, Harp Technologies, Aalto University and the University of Tampere. VTT’s press release can be found here.
