Harp Technologies shares expertise at IGARSS 2015

Harp Technologies presented “Design of an Interferometric Radiometer for an Advanced SST/OVW Mission” at the International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium 2015 (IGARSS 2015), which took place in Milan, Italy, on July 26th-31st, 2015. On this topic, Dr Juha Kainulainen of Harp Technologies presented the interferometric radiometer design for the “Advanced Sea Surface Temperature and Ocean Vector Wind (SST/OVW)” mission. Dr Kainulainen also presented results from Harp Technologies’ contribution to the Soil Moisture and Ocean Salinity (SMOS) mission of the European Space Agency (ESA). Dr Kainulainen has been part of the instrument calibration team since 2008 and presented recent results on the topic “Five-Year Performance of SMOS Reference Radiometers.” The IGARSS is organized annually and it is the world’s premier symposium on the subject of remote sensing.
