Harp Technologies shares expertise at MicroRad 2016

Harp Technologies presented “Evaluation and comparison of RFI detection algorithms” at the 14th Specialist Meeting on Microwave Radiometry and Remote Sensing of the Environment (MicroRad 2016), which took place in Espoo, Finland, on April 11th-14th, 2016. On this topic, Dr Janne Lahtinen of Harp Technologies discussed the performance of various algorithms, in relation to microwave remote sensing radiometry, to detect different anthropogenic Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) signal types. Dr Lahtinen also presented “Fully polarimetric radiometer calibration: determining retardation plate’s phase shift”, introducing a new method to improve the calibration accuracy of fully polarimetric radiometers. MicroRad is organized biennially and it is the premier gathering of the international microwave radiometer community.
